During In Hurricane Season:
​
1. Remove All Flags from your flagpole before a storm hits. This includes Tropical Storms, which can also have a high impact on your flags and flagpole.
​
2. If you have one of our BATES Brand Flagpoles, Your flagpole can be taken out of it's ground sleeve and laid down on the round during the storm to prevent any damages and then returned to it's sleeve when the storm is over.
(You can also take our BATES Brand flagpoles with you when you move! All you need is a new gound sleeve and installation!)
3. If you have an External Halyard Flagpole, take the rope and wrap it around the pole one or two times and then tie it down to the Cleat. This prevents the halyard (rope) from getting pulled or dragged by high winds.

The Effects Of The Tariffs On Aluminum Have Hit The Flagpoles And Their Pricing.
I'm Still Waiting To Hear About The Raw Materials Used To Make The US, State & Military Flags.

Although All Products Are Produced And Manufactured Here In The USA, ALL Of The Manufacturers For Our Flag & Flagpole Products Rely On RAW MATERIALS From Other Countries To Produce Our Flags & Flagpoles.

Our Solar Lights Are Assembled In The USA, However, All Of The Components Come From China.

The Tariffs effect ALL RAW MATERIALS that come into this country. In 2018, My cost of flags, flagpoles and components all went up six times as a result of the Tariffs implemented at that time

The following was the first notice I've received from one of my vendors. I expect I'll be getting notices from them all:

"SPECIAL ALERT! – US TARIFFS.
US hikes Section 232 Tariff to 25% on all countries, no exemptions
President Trump has signed executive orders increasing US Section 232. Tariffs on aluminum to 25% effective March 4, removing all country exemptions and canceling the product exclusion process...."
​
Unfortunately, the added cost of goods is passed on down the line.
I'm sorry, but unfortunately, we can all expect at least a 25% increase in pricing, some pricing will go into effect on March 4.
